Downtown Comox Shoulder Season Marketing Campaign

The Comox BIA is excited to invite downtown Comox BIA businesses to participate in an upcoming marketing campaign designed to promote Downtown Comox and drive customer engagement with local businesses.

This campaign will include a series of in-store incentives and video ads, aimed at showcasing the unique offerings of our downtown businesses. To participate – we need you to register your Downtown Comox BIA business here (for free!) by Monday, December 6th.

Campaign Overview:

  • Video Series: We will be creating sector-specific videos featuring Food and Beverage, Services, Shopping and Arts, and Marine Adventure. Each video will be promoted across Meta platforms, with targeted ads for increased reach and engagement to encourage locals to visit downtown businesses.
  • Social Media Advertising: A dedicated social media campaign will run on Instagram and Facebook.
  • Campaign Collateral: Custom campaign graphics will be provided to participating businesses and include posters, stamp cards and a digital toolkit for sharing the campaign with your customers and followers.
  • In-Store Incentives: Participating businesses will distribute stamp cards, encouraging customers to shop locally. Completed cards (with all circles stamped) will be entered by the cardholder into a contest entry form via the campaign page at DowntownComox.com or via a draw box at the Comox Centre Mall.
  • Participating in this campaign will offer your business high visibility, a chance to attract new customers, and the opportunity to be a part of a shared community effort.

Timelines:
The campaign will begin after the holidays and will run until the end of May 2025.

Participate 2 Ways:

  1. Be an in-store incentive business! We will provide each participating BIA member with a stamp, stamp cards and posters that help to promote the program. You simply need to provide these cards to any customers using your service. Then you simply stamp their card after the purchase! Each participating business will be included on the landing page for the campaign. There is NO COST to participate!
  2. Provide prizing. We will be drawing monthly prizes for each business sector from participants that submit their used stamp cards. If you have a prize or package you can provide, you will be included in the social media campaign and on the campaign landing page.
