Begin your artistic adventure at the Anglican Church (corner of Church St. and Comox Ave). Heading left towards the downtown core be sure to stop at Island Affair Giftwear to browse their unique local gifts including shirts, jewelry, pottery and more, then carry on to Blue Heron Books to browse their selection of arts and extensive reads on Vancouver Island subject matter. Just up the street is the Pearl Ellis Gallery featuring many original Vancouver Island and local works of art. Take some time to visit the Comox Archives and Museum and learn about the history of the Town. Continuing on, grab a gelato at Benino Gelato. Continue down Comox Ave to Marianne Enhorning Art Gallery and Studio. Then continue further down Comox Ave. to Filberg Heritage Lodge and Park. Meander through the gardens in this nine-acre heritage park. Visit the Filberg Lodge Gift Shop and make sure to take time to take in the views at the beach. Walk back to Downtown Comox for dinner on the ocean view deck at Martine’s Bistro on Beaufort Ave. and enjoy the sculptures and the featured artists’ works.
